Why provide training on artificial intelligence?
With the increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI) in everyday work, businesses are facing new challenges:
- AI can make processes more efficient,
- But it also brings legal and ethical risks.
To address these challenges safely, it is essential that all employees understand how to use AI in a legally compliant and responsible manner.
In addition, the European AI Act requires AI competence training for all employees who work with AI systems or interpret their results.
An online training course provides the ideal framework for this.
Practical online training on artificial intelligence
With online training, your employees can learn at times that best suits their working day. Multimedia-based content delivers essential knowledge in an entertaining and didactically high-quality manner.
Our training videos are created using AI, allowing your employees to benefit from the effects of context-based learning.
After successfully passing the final test, each participant receives a certificate.
As a training coordinator, you can easily monitor employee progress and provide support where needed.
Training helps prevent liability risks and compliance breaches
In our online AI training, your employees will learn everything they need to know to use artificial intelligence in a legally compliant and responsible manner.
From regulatory frameworks (particularly the AI Act) and legal risks associated with AI-powered applications to day-to-day compliance requirements in the workplace.
The learning objective: Employees will understand the legal and ethical requirements for the use of AI in a business context. They will be aware of potential pitfalls, know how to make legally sound decisions, and understand which measures help minimise liability risks, regulatory breaches, and compliance issues.
1. lesson: Introduction to artificial intelligence
What do we mean by intelligence – in both humans and machines?
This lesson provides an overview of what artificial intelligence is and where we already encounter it in everyday applications.
2. Lesson: How AI works
How does a machine learn without direct instructions?
This module explains the difference between machine learning and traditional programming. It also demonstrates how AI recognises patterns and makes predictions – practical and easy to understand.
3. Lesson: Legal frameworks
What legal requirements apply to the use of AI in companies?
This lesson covers key regulations employees need to be aware of – including data protection laws, the safeguarding of trade secrets, and relevant copyright provisions when using AI.
4. Lesson: Risks of using private AI tools (BYOAI)
More and more employees are using private AI tools at work – often without being aware of the risks.
This lesson explains the security gaps and legal consequences of Bring Your Own AI (BYOAI), and why clear company policies for AI use are essential.
We also address the dangers of bias in AI models.
Final test
The final test is designed to assess what participants have learned. A total of eleven questions are asked, covering all four lessons. Those who answer at least seven questions correctly will be able to download a certificate confirming successful course completion.
Trained employees are the best protection against AI-related compliance risks
Artificial intelligence can offer significant benefits to businesses – provided it is used safely and responsibly. However, careless use of AI-powered systems can lead to unintentional breaches of regulatory requirements or a loss of trust among customers and business partners.
Targeted training ensures that employees not only use AI in an economically sensible way, but also operate it within a clear legal framework. This way, artificial intelligence becomes not an uncontrolled risk, but a strategic advantage.

Frequently asked questions about the online AI training
Is AI competence training required under the AI Act?
Yes. Art. 4 of the AI Act obliges all providers and users of AI systems to take appropriate measures to ensure that their staff possess a sufficient level of AI competence.
This explicitly includes training. Companies are required to actively and demonstrably support the development of this competence.
Who in the company needs to be trained?
All employees who work with AI systems or interpret their results must receive AI competence training. This includes staff in IT, specialist departments, HR, compliance, or healthcare.
The AI Act does not focus on specific job titles, but rather on the actual use of and responsibility for AI systems. What matters is whether someone is operationally or organizationally involved with AI.
Is training only required for high-risk AI?
No. The obligation to provide training applies regardless of whether an AI system is classified as high-risk. The general use of any AI system already triggers the requirement to ensure staff competence.
For high-risk systems, additional specific training obligations apply under Art. 14 of the AI Act – such as training on risks, limitations, and potential malfunctions.
What are the legal benefits of documented training?
Documented training significantly reduces the risk of liability, reputational damage, and sanctions under the AI Act. It is a key element of accountability and serves as a safeguard in dealings with regulatory authorities.
By establishing a structured system of proof, companies also build trust with customers and partners.
How does this training support AI compliance in practice?
Our training not only teaches foundational knowledge but also addresses specific application risks and responsibilities related to the use of AI systems.
It was developed by legal experts in line with the requirements of the AI Act. This provides your teams with a legally compliant and practical knowledge base.
How long does the AI training take?
Completing the full AI competence training takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes. The course is divided into four lessons, and participants can pause after each lesson and resume at any time.
How are the training materials designed?
The content of the AI training is delivered through engaging, AI-generated explanatory videos. These videos make learning both enjoyable and accessible.
How challenging is the AI training?
The lessons were developed by experienced legal experts in collaboration with instructional designers and creatives. This ensures that the content is both informative and entertaining.
The training is designed to be accessible to all employees – no prior legal knowledge is required to successfully complete the final test.
How can employees take part in the AI training?
You simply purchase as many licences as you need for the employees you wish to train.
You’ll find detailed guidance on how to invite your staff, monitor their learning progress, and download certificates in our general FAQs.
