Why train managers in AI?

Management and executives have a significant influence on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in an organisation. This applies to the selection of AI applications, the assessment of risks, and the introduction of internal guidelines on AI use. As a result, employees in management positions assume not only strategic responsibility but also liability-related responsibility with regard to AI.

In order to fulfil this responsibility, managers should receive appropriate training in the legally compliant use of AI.

In addition, the European AI Act requires that employees have a sufficient level of AI competence when working with AI systems or interpreting their results.

Our online course is the ideal framework for this!

Practical online training on AI

Our online course, developed specifically for managers, provides your employees with the relevant skills to manage the introduction and use of AI in a legally compliant and responsible manner.

Your employees with management responsibilities can complete the online course at a time that best suits their working day. Multimedia learning content conveys the necessary knowledge in an entertaining and didactically high-quality manner.

After successfully passing the final test, each employee receives a certificate so that you, as the person responsible, can fulfil your accountability obligations.

As the person responsible for training, you can keep track of your employees’ learning progress at all times and intervene to provide support if necessary.

AI training helps avoid liability risks and violations

In the online AI training course, your executives and management will learn everything they need to know about the legally compliant and responsible use of artificial intelligence in your organisation. From the regulatory framework and the legal risks associated with the use of AI-supported applications to the establishment of compliance requirements for everyday work.

The learning objective: Your employees in management positions understand the legal and ethical requirements for the use of AI in the organisation. They know what pitfalls to avoid, how to make legally compliant decisions, and what measures help to minimise liability risks, regulatory violations and compliance risks.

What do we mean by intelligence – both in humans and machines? This lesson provides an overview of what artificial intelligence is and the everyday applications in which we already encounter AI.

What is the legal framework, particularly as it relates to the AI Act? We explain prohibitions, risk classifications, technical and organisational requirements, and the establishment of an AI management system.

What are the most important data protection requirements for AI tools? What copyright restrictions apply and what is the correct way to handle trade secrets when using AI? We provide an overview!

Which organisations should establish internal regulations on the use of AI? How is such an AI policy or AI guideline structured, what content should be regulated, and how can you best implement the requirements in your organisation?

The final test is about putting what you have learned to the test. A total of 14 questions on the four lessons must be answered. Anyone who answers at least 64% correctly can then download a certificate of successful course participation.

Trained managers are the best protection against compliance risks when dealing with AI

Artificial intelligence only reaches its full potential when it is introduced responsibly under clear leadership. Your managers are responsible for ensuring that all AI initiatives comply with legal requirements and strengthen the trust of customers and business partners rather than jeopardising it.

Our online course enables your management team not only to master the technology, but also to establish and enforce binding guidelines for its use. If you consistently apply this framework, AI will transform from an incalculable risk into a sustainable competitive advantage for your company.

Frequently asked questions about online AI training

Article 4 of the AI Act requires all providers and operators of AI systems to take appropriate measures to ensure that their staff have a sufficient level of AI competence. Companies must actively and demonstrably promote the development of this competence.

All employees who work with AI systems or interpret their results – for example, in IT, HR, compliance or healthcare – must receive AI competence training (see our general AI competence training for employees).

Managers have a special responsibility when setting up and using AI, as they may decide on the resources to be used and regulate permissible use. For this reason, managers should be particularly familiar with the legal requirements and other regulations relating to AI.

No. The obligation to take appropriate measures to achieve AI competence applies regardless of whether a system is classified as high-risk AI or not. The general use of an AI system alone triggers the obligation to ensure competence. For high-risk systems, there are additional special requirements under Article 14 of the AI Act, such as training on risks, limitations and malfunctions.

Verifiable training of employees, especially those in management positions, significantly reduces the risk of liability, reputational damage and sanctions under the AI Act. It is a central element of accountability and serves as protection against regulatory authorities. With a structured verification concept, companies also build trust among customers and partners.

Our training course teaches specific application risks and responsibilities when dealing with AI systems. It was developed by lawyers based on the requirements of the AI Act. This enables you to create a legally compliant, practical knowledge base for your management teams.

Your managers will need around 30 to 40 minutes to complete the entire AI training course. The AI training course is divided into four lessons and can be interrupted after each lesson and resumed at any time.

The learning content of the AI training course is conveyed through entertaining (AI-generated) explanatory videos.

The lessons in the AI training course were designed and created by experienced lawyers in collaboration with teaching specialists and creative professionals. This ensures that the lessons are both educational and entertaining. The training course is designed so that all employees can pass the final test even without any prior (legal) knowledge.

For our online AI training, simply purchase as many licences as you want to train employees. All employees assigned to your organisation will automatically have access to the online courses you have booked.

You can find out how to invite your employees to AI training, monitor their learning progress and download certificates if necessary in our general FAQs.
